The RBT Standard 5 Solar Project: Light Kit is a self-assembly Solar Project Kit, specifically designed to cater to the educational needs of primary school students and teachers. The kit aims to augment learning by providing a practical, hands-on experience. It is designed in such a way that it eliminates the need for a hot soldering gun, hot glue gun, or screwdriver to assemble the components or wires, thanks to the inclusion of press-fit terminals.
The kit is comprehensive, providing all necessary components within a single box, which also serves as a part of the project. The kit is accompanied by an instruction manual that aligns with the Standard 5 school textbook, and is intended to stimulate creativity when used in conjunction with basic materials.
The Solar-Light project edition aligns with the Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan-Cina (SJKC) textbook and includes rechargeable batteries.
The Solar-Light project edition of the kit includes rechargeable batteries and provides guidance on setting up a Moser Bottle Lamp. All components and parts are equipped with pre-soldered wires, eliminating the need for additional soldering during the assembly of the project.
The kit also provides ample double-sided tapes for attaching parts to the box. The box, in addition to housing the components, is specifically designed for this project. It features graphics indicating where to mount components and pre-cut holes for the switch and wiring.
